Today, I was inspired by one of my peers. Sometimes we lose sight of how well off we are as we are easily blinded by the negativity that surrounds us. It takes a realization like the one I had today to bring everything back into perspective. I’ve experienced a multitude of obstacles these past few months and have undergone a vast array of emotions, but that is minuscule in comparison to what others are experiencing at this very moment. And like my peer, a lot of these people don’t complain about how “crappy” their lives are. Instead, they are grateful for simply being alive and having people in their lives whom they love & love them. It is this realization that has rekindled my drive to keep pushing forward no matter how much I feel like giving up.
Better In Time - Leona Lewis
It wasn’t all that easy to put aside your feelings.
I’ve been going through a lot of things these past few months and it’s beginning to take a toll on me. I’m usually the type of guy that makes a positive spin out of a negative situation, but lately I’ve found that harder and harder to do. It might not be as apparent to those around me, but behind that laughter and smile lies a lot of pain and grief. I’m trying my best to brush it off, but I can’t help but get overwhelmed at times.
